The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is designed for workers who are interested in developing specific skills in training and assessment. It is a nationally recognised course, and is used by all industries as the benchmark for workplace training and assessment.

Delivery time: face to face 20 days and project work (not including elective)

Nominal hours: 235 (not including elective)

Elective (1)

You can choose the remaining unit from any relevant Certificate III or IV qualification. Your pathway will be discussed at your pre-course interview.

 

Introduction to Computers

This training is nationally accredited, and covers the following units of competency:

 
Operate a personal computer
ICAICT101A
Operate word- processing applications
ICAICT102A
Use, communicate and search securely on the internet
ICAICT103A

 

 
This course is conducted over 5 days and covers:
  • Getting started with computers
  • Creating basic documents using word
  • Basic formatting of documents
  • Creating tables
  • Accessing and searching for information on the Internet
  • Sending and receiving emails
  • Sending attachments (documents, pictures etc) by email

 

This course is designed for workers who have little or no experience of computers and lack confidence using them.  The course assumes very little knowledge of computer technology, and is suitable for all workers who would like a basic introduction to using computers and the internet.
