Diploma in Training and Assessment

The Diploma in Training and Assessment is open to workers who have completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and who wish to develop more specialised skills in the areas of training and assessment leading to a career in this area.
The qualification covers training needs analysis, establishing and coordinating a training system, designing training programs and assessment tools, evaluating training and assessment services and facilitating action research and e-learning projects.
The Diploma in Training and Assessment involves off-the-job structured training as well as significant project work outside these hours. It is expected that workers undertaking this qualification have highly developed research skills and an ability to work independently. It is expected that workers will take approximately 18 months to complete this qualification.

The Diploma offered by the CFMEU Education and Training Unit has 3 levels of qualification: Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma (see the course requirements for Certificate III and Certificate IV). The Diploma is designed for workers who have a major role in OH&S in their workplace.
