Courses Leading to Licences for High Risk Work
The courses listed below all lead to the issuing of licences by WorkSafe. Workers must complete a training course and then be assessed by a qualified WorkSafe assessor in order to receive a licence for high risk work. Please note that after the 1st of July 2010, WorkSafe will require proof of training before an assessment for a licence can be carried out. As a component of assessment, a number of these courses also require the completion of a logbook under supervision on-the-job.
Completion of Construction Industry Induction training (Red/White Card) is a pre-requisite for all courses involving licences to carry out high risk work. You must present your Red/White Card to the trainer and also bring along photo identification and one passport photograph to each of these courses.
