Learning Needs Assessments

In order to find out the amount of assistance a worker might need with the language and literacy aspects of a course, the Education and Training Unit conducts Learning Needs Assessments.  These assessments are conducted through individual interviews, and can be conducted on or off the job.
 
Duration: 30 minutes- 1 hour
 

Industry Skills Assessments

The Education and Training Unit can assist workers who want their industry skills assessed and recognised under the National Building and Construction Industry Training Framework.  These assessments are conducted directly through the CFMEU Education and Training Unit or by referral to recognised industry assessors.  Individual briefing interviews are conducted before the assessment.  Skills assessments are conducted on the job.
 
Duration: depends on competencies to be assessed and formal qualifications held.
 

Assessments for WorkCover Certificates of Competency

The Education and Training Unit can assist workers wanting assessment for WorkCover Certificates of Competency.  Like industry skills assessments, WorkCover assessments are conducted either directly through the CFMEU Education and Training Unit or by referral to recognised WorkCover assessors.
