Canberra Dam Accident - John Holland Again

A worker was severely injured when this drilling rig fell 18 metres on the Googong Dam site near Canberra on January 8.

Karl Harland, a Victorian CFMEU member, suffered two broken legs and damage to his coccyx ( the bone at the base of the spine) after his machine slid across the dam's spillway, hit two lower levels and landed on a ute.

The project is being built by Abigroup and John Holland, who look to have started 2010 like they left off last year.
