The Annual Building Workers Picnic Day brought families together across Victoria on Monday December 7.

Workers enjoyed a paid day off with their families in Melbourne, Portland, Traralgon, Ballarat,  Geelong, Bendigo and Shepparton.

Almost 18,000 people passed through the turnstiles at Moonee Valley Racecourse - a record amount - with stalls selling out of food and drink.

Mildura and Wodonga workers will take their picnic day next Monday, the 14th.
