Bass Coast Shire Council has launched a website listing rental properties available exclusively to desalination project employees.

Properties range in price and size with a choice of furnished or unfurnished accommodation. Many are normally holiday rentals. 

According to the Council, all properties listed on the site meet the aims of the Victorian Desalination Project Housing Accord. The Accord has been developed by the Council and local real estate agents with the aim of "managing the housing needs of the project workforce while minimising impacts on the local rental supply and tourism markets."
